Hunger and Poverty Prevention Partnership of Portage County
To proactively identify issues of hunger and poverty and advocate short- and long-term solutions
The RentReady furniture donation program is designed to help provide gently used furniture and housewares for homeless persons within our community moving into an apartment, many have literally nothing. We have received a grant from Portage County and entered into a contract with a local mover to pick up larger items and deliver or store them for future delivery depending upon the circumstances.
Furniture Items Needed: Full bedroom sets; mattress (no king size), box spring with complete frame, dressers, couches (no large sectional or sleepers), recliners, chairs, end or coffee tables, kitchen table and chairs. All should be in good overall condition, without stains or tears.
Electronics Items Needed: Newer style (smaller) microwaves and TVs (flat screen only). Items must be in good working condition.
Note: The Place of Peace with Downtown Mission Church is no longer accepting electronics or houseware items, until further notice. Thank you to everyone who has donated.
*HPPP is a tax qualified 501(c)3 and a self-fillable tax deduction form will be signed and provided upon pick up of items donated
